You want to begin. Welcome. My name is Adhip and these pages are for you. My work is here to support you understand what your heart knows and to trust that sooner or later your heart will speak. When we track the heart, something happens: Our awareness returns to the person inside. Often this feels familiar because the heart has been trying to put us into dreams and aspirations before, but we were not paying attention. Even as children we can lose track of the moments when our will returned to the heart for something to be born into our awareness. We forget what the heart does and no longer practice making ourselves available to it. Yet it is a natural inner principle to go deeper, so all it sometimes needs is a little push.
Your heart matters. I have been researching the heart’s knowing since the days of my doctoral research at the University of Oxford, when I was working with the idea that human beings have access to different levels of knowing: Head and heart. While we over-prioritise the knowledge of the head, most of the information that life brings reaches us via the body. When we attend to the heart, we move into the realm of being where we are able to cognise a knowing that is embodied, relational and intuitively meaningful, because the heart is the place where self and world meet. The wisdom of our unique existence is channeled into the heart space. This awakens our sense of identity and perception to what is of inherent value to us. In these times of instability, it is crucial to remember what we can do to secure ourselves from the resources available to us. The heart knows when we are at our best and has the capacity for the mind to become more heart. The head then is the place in which the heart manifests into. Heart means depth and relationship, a different ‘me’. I also learnt in my research that pain is unsolvable if it remains on the analytical level. Yet it is so little understood that it is the constriction of reality and what we do in it that perpetuates pain.
I have been working in the field of consciousness education and selfhood development for over a decade. In this time, I have helped many people find their way back to the heart-mind and recover their voice. I understand what we can do at the level of eye contact when we create environments that suspend the pressure to conform and instead nourish subtler processes to take place. My work is informed by developmental, clinical, and depth psychology as well as a practice of transparent communication and embodied listening. I have been in and held many spaces that invite the heart to open. This has shown me that love is essential and we need the right conversations for the deeper purpose of our lives to reveal itself. To sensitise the heart requires tenderness and commitment, yet our education and career paths are not designed for this work. We hardly ever explore our life. We can change this.
